About

Blackminster was designated a County Middle School in 1975 when a three tier (first, middle and high schools) system of education was introduced in the Evesham/Pershore area of Hereford & Worcester.

The change over from its previous role as a County Secondary School to its present role as a 10+ to 13+ County Middle School was completed by 1977 and it is now one of four Middle Schools in the Evesham area. They are Bredon Hill and St.Egwins whose identified high school is Prince Henry's, and Simon de Montfort and Blackminster whose identified high school is Evesham High.

We try to welcome all pupils to Blackminster Middle School but there have to be some limits on admissions. Our standard number per year group is 130. Beyond that figure each case is studied individually.

Every child in the County of Worcestershire is allocated a place at their nearest local school unless that school is full. Our pupils are drawn from our local village schools in Badsey, Littleton, Cleeve Prior, Offenham, Bretforton, Honeybourne and Pebworth. Pupils from outside those areas will be welcomed providing there is available space.
